Ordinarily, we have fortnightly maintenance sessions on Saturdays 10-12 (weekly during the summer) where whoever wants to comes out to do whatever needs doing. It’s often rounded off with tea/coffee and cakes out on the Ramble.
One example of the work done by our volunteers is the path which was built, and is maintained, using chippings and logs supplied by the council. It helps make this a lovely corner of Whitley Bay.
We encourage all ages to be involved and welcome younger volunteers who are, perhaps, undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh Award or seeking to bolster their CV. Strict health and safety procedures are place for all activities including maintenance sessions and other events. Further, the group has adopted a robust Safeguarding Policy which can be viewed by emailing info@redhouseramble.org.uk.
